"This is an amazing in depth study of God's Word.. from Creation and Fall, the Remedy The Gospel of Jesus Christ, the response of faith, Justification and Adoption, Sanctification to Making Much of His Name JESUS. Our faith, and love relationship to Jesus Christ our Saviour become so deep every time we learn much about Him and who He Is. This a must binge watch videos that it challenges me so much. Invite kids- midschoolers, high schoolers and even college kids to Teens Sunday School class" - Mitz
The title of the video series is Recovering Redemption by Matt Chandler. From weekly video sermons to stories to the sermon schedule, you’ll find everything you need to make the most of the series. We hope you enjoy this resource and pray that God uses it to save and sanctify hearts and lives through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
WHAT DOES RECOVERING REDEMPTION MEAN?
Getting back, restoring.
God’s plan of salvation, the gospel.
Because we have a tendency to drift from the gospel, we must be reoriented back to the gospel. We must recover a right understanding and application of the gospel. We must see that the gospel is the fuel for salvation and sanctification and the panacea to fix all things.
WEEK ONE - THE GENESIS: CREATION AND FALL
Man, as a creature in relation to his Creator, has fallen from a place of dignity, humility and dependence to a state of depravity, pride and rebellion. Apart from Christ, we are powerless to overcome sin, and our attempts to control it only increase our chaos.
WEEK TWO - THE REMEDY: THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
God lovingly intervened into our chaos by providing a remedy for the insanity of sin and the way back into fellowship with Him. By grace through faith in Jesus Christ, we can be redeemed.
WEEK THREE - THE RESPONSE OF FAITH: REPENTANCE
In response to the Holy Spirit illuminating our desperate and helpless condition before God and igniting the living hope that comes through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we step out in faith and repent as an act of worship and obedience, entrusting our lives to Christ.
