Operation Christmas Child 

 It is that time of year again... already!

Once again, HVBC will be participating in Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. 

This is a wonderful ministry opportunity for all ages.  Shoeboxes are packed and then distributed, along with The Gospel, to children all over the world. Check out the website for all the information.

There will be a collection box at church for you to bring in items to donate to fill shoeboxes.  You can also assemble your own shoebox and drop-off at the church (starting November 10th)...along with your online prepaid shipping label or payment to cover the cost of shipping ($9 per box).  

Here are some suggested items: packs of socks,  individually wrapped toothbrushes, hard soaps (no body washes), boxed crayons, boxed markers, clothes, toys, etc. (NO food/candy, toothpaste or any liquids).  

Awana will be packing shoeboxes during club on November 20th.  Parents, help your child start gathering items to bring to club. If you are able, please also consider contributing $9 toward shipping costs for boxes packed during club night.

Then mark your calendar for November 24th...The church will host a packing party for all of the collection box items. Again, if you are able, please consider donating funds to cover the cost of shipping boxes.
